Google Postcard from 1999

This photograph is only fourteen years old but seems like a sixties snapshot . I still remember well the first month of Google Beta and how it seemed much simpler than Altavista .

Sweet phone concept.

We were intrigued by the Phonebloks concept phone that teased the ability to switch out a handset's components the way most users change ringtones, and now Motorola is putting its resources behind it. In what Motorola calls Project Ara, the advanced Technology and Products group is working with Phonebloks creator Dave Hakkens on an "endoskeleton (endo) and modules." Announced this evening on the company blog by Paul Eremenko, the company says it's already "done deep technical work" and is opening the process up to the community and volunteers (aka Ara Scouts, sign up here) to begin designing hardware modules. Its stated goal is to do for hardware what it says Android has done for software: create a vibrant third-party developer ecosystem, lower the barriers to entry, increase the pace of innovation, and substantially compress development timelines." via TEOTI

First ZX Spectrum +4T pictures leaked! Is this for real?

These pictures are circulating the web and showing us, allegedly, the Sinclair ZX Spectrum +4T. What you can see is a touch screen device with a card reader and an USB "hole". Android OS is also there with some kind of classic spectrum emulator app. Anyone knows something about it?

Imagine Dragons - "Lovesong"

Chelsea Clinton Chelsea Clinton has posted a rare picture of herself as a toddler, swinging blissfully in the arms of her former President dad. To celebrate Bill Clinton's first Twitter account, launched Wednesday night, the 33-year-old shared the black and white image with her fans for the social media trend, Throw Back Thursday.

Freaky Lip Art by Sandra Holmbom

There should be quite a bunch of horror movie makers who’d want to hire 26-year-old Sandra Holmbom from Sweden. Her latest project is a bizarre third eye that leaves you confused and unsure whether it’s an eye or lips you’re looking at. To make the detailed painting even more realistic, Sandra, aka Psychosandra, even attached fake eyelashes to her upper lip. “I thought it was a long time since I did something with my lips. Wanted to do  something weird, yes, I can say that it is weird. But pretty, it’s not, but I  had fun anyway,” says Sandra. You’ll fing more of her bizarre artwork, if you dare to check! via

Our own private photography docs collection

Here's our photography docs collection, including user and service manuals for a lot of cameras (digital SLR, compact, bridge and even some film classic ones). You can also download the Magic Lantern 2.3 (check the Canon folder) guide in pdf format! It's free, useful and some of the files are really hard to find in the web. I will update the contents as soon I can...

Bran Van 3000 - Overdrive (Full Show)

ddd Bran Van 3000 performed live back in 1998 at Viva Television (Germany). The video was absent from the web schizophrenic search engines until now, when I found my own old VHS tape lying in the attic :-) The regular show was sponsored by Volkswagen through " VW Sound Foundation ". Interestingly, there was an audio version of the show circulating the Internet for years .
